Afterschool care for children with disabilities – preschool through high school
Childcare services provided by DLC allow the parents freedom to work, attend school and provide for the family; thereby the entire family is strengthened
Have been providing childcare to children with special needs in a Christian loving atmosphere since 1989
Two locations: Murray Hill United Methodist Church and Lakeshore Presbyterian Church – currently serve about 80 children between the two campuses
Our program gives children the skills necessary to reach their maximum potential
Provide nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and Early Intervention
Serve kids with varying handicapping conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Microcephaly, Seizures, G-Tube, etc.
Scholarships available for tuition and therapy
Over $280,000 in scholarships provided to 70% of students last year.
Funded through Jacksonville Children’s Commission, United Way, Jaguars Foundation, Blue Foundation and the Lucy Gooding Foundation
Require additional funding from foundations, church groups and individuals
